ROONEY Terry The family wish to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to everyone who sympathised with us on our recent bereavement. To all those who sent Mass and sympathy cards, flowers, telephoned, left messages on social media and those who couldn't be with us but kept us in their thoughts and prayers, we thank you very much. A big thank you to Roslea Credit Union, Maguiresbridge GFC and Roslea Shamrocks GFC for their guards of honour for Dads final journey to St. Tierneys Church. We are indebted to Fr. John Chester for calling with Dad in The Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast to anoint him and for celebrating Dads Requiem Mass and delivering a very personal and meaningful homily so eloquently. Thank you to all those who participated in Dads Mass, to organist Nicola, Carla, Patsy and St. Tierneys Church Choir who sang so beautifully at Dads Mass. We are immensely thankful to the Nurses and Doctors at the Southwest Acute Hospital Emergency Department, Royal Victoria, Belfast and Altnagelvin Hospital, Derry who's professionalism was outstanding and you all kept Dad comfortable in his last days which we are eternally grateful for. Thanks to the Maple Group Practice for their care especially Paul Sheridan and to McDaid's Pharmacy for their help and support to Dad over the years. During Dads time at Home he received exceptional care from the Community Care Team, District Nurses who exceeded their role and the Carers who enabled Dad to be at home, we thank you. In Dads final days we thank our families for their support especially cousin Aidan who looked out for Dad in Altnagelvin and who supported us all in Dads final hours. Thanks to all who brought food to the home and to Tommy for providing the lights outside the home. Thanks to Michael the Sacristan who prepared the Church and to Aidan, Mags and Carla Connolly for carrying out the funeral arrangements, for their guidance, support and attention to detail ensured a comforting and compassionate funeral for Dad. To the Grave Diggers we thank you for meticulously preparing Dads resting place. Grateful thanks to McCagues for preparing the lovely food for everyone after the funeral. As it's not possible to thank everyone individually, we hope this acknowledgment will be accepted as an expression of our deep gratitude and sincere appreciation to all. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions. Deeply regretted and sorely missed by Daughters Evelyn (Malachy) Carmel (Sean) Paula (Patsy) Sons Ciaran (Caroline) and Cathal (Emma) and his 11 Grandchildren. ________ Months Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 14th April 2024 at 10.30am in St Tierneys Church Roslea and can be viewed on webcam.
