A POPULAR local events suite, which has undergone a refurbishment worth £250,000, was unveiled for the first time on Sunday.

Due to an upsurge in demand for conferences and events, the Lisgoole Suite at the Killyhevlin Hotel has recently undergone an extensive upgrade.

It now features a dedicated entrance foyer, arrival reception/break-out area, and private lakeview terrace, with the capacity to accommodate up to 500 guests.

The extensive refurbishment was officially relaunched on Sunday during the hotel’s wedding showcase event.

Companies involved in the construction process included Kavanagh Construction and Douglas Wallace Interiors, with the end result dubbed both “elegant” and “modern”.

David Morrison, General Manager of Killyhevlin Hotel, said that the decision was made to upgrade the Lisgoole Suite following a 20 per cent increase in demand for conferences and events last year.

“The increased demand for our conference and event facilities is a testament to our first-class facilities, expert service and convenient lakeside location less than 1km from Enniskillen,” he said.

“We are delighted to have been selected as the venue of choice for a number of exclusive use events, as well as international events in recent months which have economic benefits for the region.”

The refurbishment includes stunning new furnishings, carpets, a fireplace, bespoke art deco-inspired window screens and new feature lighting.

Meanwhile, the new elegant modern interiors are complimented by the floor-to-ceiling windows which offer natural daylight and inspiring panoramic views of Lough Erne, leading onto a private furnished exterior terrace area.

Mr. Morrison added that the refurbishment is part of the hotel’s commitment to continually improving facilities.

The newly refurbished space couples notes of art-deco and modernism, with new materials and textures to create a warm and comfortable, modern tone.

Mr. Morrison is pleased with the end result, and he is certain that the modern feel of the suite will be a hit with guests.

“We pride ourselves in exceeding our guests’ expectations and our events team is committed to the continuous improvement of our facilities and services,” he continued.

“The refurbishment project allows us to further elevate our guest experience by creating a new sense of style and elegance, which creates a stunning backdrop for conferences, events and weddings.

Mr. Morrison added that the Killyhevlin also offers an additional choice of four other conference and event spaces, which are perfect for hosting small meetings, a large conference, or wanting to say ‘I Do’.

Coupled with a choice of luxury accommodation, Mr. Morrison described the Killyhevlin Hotel as the “ultimate venue”.
