Borderline Players bring Easter pantomime to Termon

Borderline Players Pettigo is set to continue their annual Easter pantomime tradition, presenting their latest production starting from April 3 with four nightly shows at 7pm.

This year's pantomime features a 90-strong cast drawn from across Fermanagh and Donegal, emphasising the spirit of talent, creative and community collaboration.

The pantomime performance has become an integral part of the troupe’s calendar over the past 24 years since they first formed.

The production this Easter is directed by Siobhan O’Brien, the founder and Chairperson of Borderline Players, who has directed each of the group’s comedies and pantomimes since 2001.

Ms. O'Brien said: "We have been working night and day to bring this production to life for the past four months.

"We had our first script reading back in November and over the last few weeks I’ve spent my nights overseeing rehearsals with our principal cast and chorus, sewing costumes and planning out props and scenery."

The production boasts a team with Catherine Leonard as Musical Director and vocal coach, and Christopher Cross handles choreography, assisting young performers alongside Ella Smith.

Denise McManus, Pauline Stevens, and Roisin McNern have co-ordinated the costumes, while Sinead Ferguson and Paul Walsh crafted the sets.

Joining the troupe, Daire Moss debuts as Robin Hood alongside Siobhan McNamee O’Donnell as Little John, while young talents Arthur McManus and Caitlin McGlone from St. John the Baptist Primary School make their first appearance in the principal cast.

Tickets for Babes in the Wood are now on sale, with family rates available, for shows from April 3 to April 6 at the Termon Complex, Feelin Fruity – Fruit and Vegetable store in Belleek, and online at facebook.com/borderlineplayers.

Performances will run every night from Wednesday, April 3, to Saturday, April 6, at 7pm.
