An Enniskillen bookshop has apologised after a religious pamphlet appeared in a children’s book.
A concerned Dad contacted this newspaper after he purchased a copy of the popular Julia Donaldson book, ‘The Smeds and Smoos’.
When he got it home he was surprised to discover a religious pamphlet inside the book.
The pamphlet contained religious verses and stories about footballer George Best as well as a name and address for the person who distributed the leaflet.
A spokeswoman for Waterstones Enniskillen apologised and said: “We were surprised by this, and we apologise to the customer who found the leaflet in a copy of a book bought in our shop.”
“We do not allow leafleting in our shops and the team is checking for any further hidden copies to prevent this from happening again.”
