Kesh’s Max Jones (8) was crowned Irish Champion as he rounded off a fantastic year that saw him win four automatic titles in 2022 on board his KTM.

The Kesh Primary School pupil travelled the island of Ireland throughout the year competing in four different championships: Irish Auto Championship, Dublin Supercross series, the Southern Masters Championship and the Munster Winter Series.

Some close-fought racing all year kept it interesting, with two championships not being decided until the final race.

But young Max held his nerve and clinched the honours.

Max is now looking forward to getting to ride in the SSE as part of the UK Arenacross Tour in January, on board a KTM electric E5 machine in front of a huge home crowd of support, which should be a fantastic opportunity and a super experience.

All of this wouldn’t be possible without support from Max’s sponsors. A big thanks to Errol at Trunk Floor, Ross at Enniskillen Tyre Centre, Eamon at Beechvale Water, Shane at McGirr Fuels, Mel at Thyolo Equestrian, Ronnie at MB14, Seamus at McBride Joinery, and Marty at Aghyaran Mx Track.
