• Fermanagh’s Ulster Championship ambitions were ended at the first hurdle as they went down to 2021 All-Ireland champions Tyrone at Brewster Park. There were plenty of positives for Manager Kieran Donnelly to take from the performance, especially in the first half, but in the end the Red Hands progressed on a 2-17 to 1-10 scoreline.

• Fermanagh Minors sealed their place in the quarter final of the Ulster Championship with victory over Down at Brewster Park. Early goals from Tiarnan Wray and Cian O’Brien saw Fermanagh go on to seal a 2-09 to 1-09 win over Down. However, Donegal proved a different challenge, as Fermanagh slipped to a 4-15 to 0-05 loss in Ballybofey

• Fermanagh hurlers secured the Division 3B title with a 2-18 to 1-17 victory over Longford in Carrick-on-Shannon. Fermanagh were three points down with ten minutes to play, but an unanswered 1-04 – including a late Luca Mcusker goal – saw them clinch the league title.

• In the Nickey Rackard Cup, Fermanagh suffered defeat in their opening two games, losing to Donegal in their opener in Maguiresbridge before going down to Tyrone. However, they bounced back with a resounding victory over Warwickshire in Brewster Park.

• Fermanagh Ladies were beaten by Antrim in the Ulster Junior Championship semi-final.

• Ballinamallard lost out in the North West Cup final to Dergview. John Edgar had given Ballinamallard the lead but goals from Browne, Kennedy and McGinley sealed a 3-1 win for the Castlederg outfit.

• In the league, Ballinamallard’s slim hopes of a play-off spot were ended with a 2-1 defeat to Loughgall. They did though beat would-be champions Newry City in the final home game of the campaign, thanks to a BJ Banda goal.

• Tummery Athletic were crowned Mercer League champions for the 2021/22 season. The race for the title went down to the last day but Tummery produced a fine display to beat Strathroy Harps 5-0 as Ryan Hanna’s side finished top of the table ahead of Dergview Reserves.

• At the other end of the table, Irvinestown Wanderers were relegated to Division Two following a 3-1 defeat to Lisbellaw. The loss left the Wanderers ten points adrift at the foot of the table with only three games to play.

• Lee Johnston began his British Supersport Championship campaign with a pair of second-place finishes at Silverstone

• Alastair Fisher produced a remarkable comeback drive to claim a first-ever Circuit of Ireland rally victory. Fisher’s chances looked all but over as he sat fourth after the first day, but he responded superbly and in the end had 11 seconds to spare as he secured the win

• Jon Armstrong remained top of the Junior WRC standings despite suffering a series of setbacks on his way to fourth overall in Croatia.

• Enniskillen Royal Boat Club rowers enjoyed a successful weekend in Dublin as they returned from the Neptune and Commerical Regattas with 13 wins. They also added six sets of medals at the Limerick Regatta.

• In her last Meet as a Junior swimmer, Ellie McCartney helped her Ards team to two Irish Junior records. Ellie then went on to clinch a first-ever Irish Long Course medal, winning bronze in her favourite, 200m Breaststroke, at the Irish Open Championships.

• In Aquasprints, there was victory for Enniskillen Lakelanders against Armagh.

• There was a memorable day for Enniskillen RFC as they returned with a clean sweep of Ulster titles (U-18, U-16 and U-14) at the Girls’ finals day.

• Robert Baloucoune penned a new three-year deal with Ulster Rugby.

• Enniskillen’s Sophie Barrett was named in the Ireland U-18 squad for the U-18 Women’s Six Nations Festival.

• Darragh Love won gold for Erne Wrestling Club at the Dublin Open.
