• The club championships got under way in September. There was a new group format in both the SFC and IFC with Derrygonnelly and Kinawley booking their place straight into the semi-finals by topping their respective groups in the SFC and Tempo and Devenish doing likewise in the IFC.

• Ederney and Teemore faced the SFC Relegation Play Off after finishing bottom of their groups, while Lisnaskea and Maguiresbridge were to contest the IFC Relegation Play Off.

• Aughadrumsee booked their place in the final of the Junior Championship.

• Enniskillen secured a fourth successive Reserve A title with victory over Kinawley.

• Former Tyrone forward Ronan O’Neill was added to Fermanagh Manager Kieran Donnelly’s backroom team.

• Former Fermanagh star Marty McGrath claimed an All-Ireland Masters title with Tyrone.

• Derrygonnelly Ladies secured the Division One title for the first time with victory over Kinawley.

• Ballinamallard’s slow start to the season continued with defeat to Dundela while they then exited the League Cup with a 4-2 defeat after extra time to Ballyclare. However, things did start to pick up for Harry McConkey’s side after this as they clinched their first league win of the season with a 4-1 win over Ards before backing it up with victory over HW Welders.

• Tummery and Enniskillen Town continue to set the pace at the top of the Mercer League.

• Clogher Valley’s impressive start to the season continued with a 28-6 derby win over Enniskillen at Mullaghmeen. Valley would finish the month by making it four wins out of four, while Skins finished with back-to-back wins.

• There was disappointment for Jon Armstrong as he just missed out on the Junior WRC title after finishing second in the final round in Greece, a puncture on stage seven proved costly for the Kesh man.

• However, Armstrong’s co-driver, Brian Hoy, did taste success as he landed the Junior WRC CO-Driver title.

• Fermanagh duo Ross Corrigan and Nathan Timoney mixed it with the best in the world as they competed for Ireland at the World Rowing Championships in Racice, Czech Republic. They were part of the Ireland Men’s Fours crew that just missed out on a spot in the final.

• Johnny Leonard was the best-placed local driver on the Lakeland Stages Rally; he finished fifth overall.

• Damian McGauran, William Graham and James McGovern all claimed Class wins at the Bushwacker Rally.

• Josh Elliott sealed the Dunlop Masters title on the final weekend at Mondello.

• Erne Boxing Club returned with five medals from the Haslev Box Cup.

• In golf, there were President’s Day wins for Paul McNamee (Fintona), Sheamus McGirr (Clogher Valley) and Kyle Thompson (Aughnacloy). Vera Waters was the winner of Lady Captain’s Day at Blacklion.
